...It's Amazing...

...what you find tucked away in an under stairs cupboard...

...our's was cleaned out yesterday in readiness for an electrician to change our fuse box...

...this meant a loss of power for a couple of hours & much to my TD's dismay the loss of the television...
...we filled the time with 'Time Trial Word Searches' & 'How Many Pogos can you Pogo' competitions...

...Luckily...

...so have I...

...Bring on The Summer...

...the last day at school...

...& my TD has brought a friend home for the summer...!!!...

...Hmm...

...having my TD's friends to sleep over makes me appreciate him all the more...

...roll on tomorrow afternoon when my usual ratio of one adult to two children will be restored...

...The Weekly Grocery Shop...

As my TD pointed out...

'Look Mum our stuff takes up the whole of the conveyor belt !'

...& he was quite right too !

...a Productive Bank Holiday Weekend...

grass cut...tick

car washed...tick

blended family afternoon spent walking the dog in the park...tick

even had time to type a blog post too

Now to chase the boys to finish their homework & iron uniforms for school tomorrow.

...We Have Survived...

...the first week back at school.

It's time for the weekend & a chance to rest.

So why was I awake at 6am !

Today's adventures include taking Smudgie cat to the vets.
She has Arthur~writus ( as my TD calls it ) and is due for her check up.

...Day Thirteen of the Easter Holidays...

My vacuum cleaner Charles is beginning to realise that this is a meaningful relationship, not just a fling.
We have been together for over four years & I need him as much today as I did when we first met.

...Day Twelve of the Easter Holidays...

...& a rare glimpse of spring sunshine.

Beds stripped, washing machine on, sheets on the line...
...funny how the simplest of things can make you happy when you are a busy Mum of two.

...Day Ten of the Easter Holidays...

...& the turn of the IT Guru to be dropped off at the venue for his LAN party ( Local Area Network for those of us not up to speed with the jargon of a fifteen year old gamer )

Leaving me & the TD to snuggle on the sofa in front of an afternoon movie...bliss.

...Day Seven of the Easter Holidays...

...& I have finally mastered the art of the lye in.

My Tasmanian Devil ( aged eight & a half ) has been picked up for a sleep over & all is peaceful, for a while at least.
